My Clinical Approach
Here is some information about my clinical approach to counseling. My clinical approach to counseling is firmly grounded in person-centered counseling and multiculturalism, combined with various key components from cognitive and behavioral therapy (CBT). I firmly believe that this integrated approach to counseling is appropriate for a wide range of clients because person-centered counseling emphasizes the basic foundational elements that create a nurturing and safe environment. This environment is essential for fostering personal growth and development in a client. The multicultural approach to counseling recognizes that I will encounter clients who come from diverse backgrounds, and it is my professional responsibility to approach therapy with a comprehensive multicultural lens. Meanwhile, CBT focuses specifically on the emotional and behavioral aspects of an individual, which may influence that individual to engage in specific behaviors. I strongly believe it is my duty to provide effective and efficacious treatment to all my clients, ensuring their welfare, well-being, and safety throughout our therapeutic journey together.
